Knightly Secure is an on-demand security response app designed to provide immediate security patrols or responses to unwanted criminal activity in your area. The app is available for download on both Apple and Android phones.

Start in 4 easy steps!

  1. Download the App: Available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
  2. Create an Account: Open the app and follow the prompts to register.
  3. Log In: Once your account is created, logging in should be automatic.
  4. Update your profile: Add your address etc in the profile section to make it easy to request a visit at any time from our qualified security officers.

After the job is completed, the Officer will send an ‘Attendance Report’ via the app.

This report will include a summary of the Officer’s findings and, if applicable, photos showing the property status or any damage.

No, a self-monitored security system is not required.

Knightly Secure is available to anyone who needs security patrols or responses at their home or business premises.

No, all communications will be conducted via the app.

If intervention is required, the Knightly Operations Centre will facilitate communication between you and the Security Officer.

If an intruder is found at the property, the Police will be called to attend the scene.

The Security Officer on-site can only assist where it is safe, such as waiting at the location for the Police to secure access.

When adding a new address, you will be asked to complete a health & safety risk assessment. This includes details about any animals, firearms, and accessibility issues on your property. Please provide as much detail as possible.

When requesting a Security Officer, you will be prompted to confirm that your health & safety profile is up to date. If any changes are needed, the Knightly Secure Operations Centre will contact you to verify the updates.

In Queensland, security guards have specific limitations and responsibilities under the law.

Here’s a summary of their powers and restrictions:

  • Access to Private Property: Security guards are not authorized to enter your private dwelling, mobile property (such as caravans or trailers), or vessels (boats, for example) without explicit permission. They are restricted to common areas and external premises as outlined by their service agreement or task instructions.
  • Road Rules and Traffic Control: Security guards do not have any exemptions under the Road Rules Act. This means they cannot direct traffic or enforce road laws. Their role is primarily focused on security and safety within the boundaries of the property they are assigned to.
  • Authority Limitations: Security guards do not have police powers and cannot perform law enforcement duties. Their responsibilities include monitoring, reporting, and deterring criminal activity, but they must work within the scope of their contractual obligations and legal limitations.
  • Emergency Situations: In case of emergencies, such as a potential threat or an active incident, security guards are trained to call for appropriate authorities, such as the police, and provide assistance where it is safe to do so. They are expected to act within the legal framework and their own training to manage situations appropriately.

While not guaranteed our goal is to have an security guard reach your premises within 40 minutes.

You will receive notifications through the app, including updates such as:

  • Officer has been dispatched
  • Officer has arrived at the property
  • Officer has indicated no sign of forced entry at your property

Please ensure you have notifications enabled in the app settings to receive these updates.

If you have concerns about the Attendance Report, you can:

  • Contact Knightly’s Operations Centre,
  • Go to the Knightly app’s Contact section and get in touch, if you can include the specific job number this will help us to get more information about the issue.

Businesses can use Knightly Secure in the same way as residential users. Simply register your business address and provide as much information as possible about accessing your business property.

Before dispatching a Knightly officer, we may ask security-related questions about the property.

If further clarification is needed, you will receive a phone call from Knightly.

Additionally, the address provided will be validated during the registration process to ensure the details are correct.

Sorry No, Knightly Secure does not provide security services for parties or events. Our focus is on responding to security concerns related to property safety and criminal activity. For event security, including parties, please contact specialized event security services that are equipped to handle crowd management and other event-specific needs.

Knightly Secure does not respond to domestic violence incidents. In cases of domestic violence or any situation involving personal safety or threats of harm, it is crucial to contact the police immediately. Domestic violence requires immediate intervention by law enforcement professionals who are trained to handle such sensitive and potentially dangerous situations.

For emergencies, please call 000 or your local emergency services. If you are in a domestic violence situation, it is important to seek help from appropriate authorities and support services designed to provide assistance and protection.

At this time you can only have one address which is your default location for Knightly.

You can change this address at any time via your Profile settings within the Knightly.
